Strontium Dog features in the British science fiction weekly 2000 AD, starring Johnny Alpha, a mutant bounty hunter with a range of ingenious gadgets and weapons. He first appeared in the British comic Starlord, a short-lived weekly Sci - fi comic, in 1978. When comic was cancelled the story transferred to 2000 AD. The rest I guess is history, the character and his narrative has strong following amongst 2000 AD fans. In this nicely printed volume you get both the first stories from Starlord and the early tales from its current home. I found the stories highly imaginative and original and thus I highly recommend this edition.

I recommend this comic to anyone who wants to get away from the Marvel/DC dynamic that permeates the market.
