What a wonderful and heartwarming true story. Once I started reading I could not put the book down until i finished. Lcve like Vin and Sandy's seems so rare and their story is truly inspirational.
I picked this book up at a conference and had it on my shelf for a couple of months before picking it up to page through when figuring out what my next read would be after completing a novel. I read the first chapter and was hooked. The writing is so engaging and the story even more so. Finding Home is the true story of how Vin and Sandy met and fell in love in the 1950's. Mired in strong Italian family mores and judgment from the church, only their love and integrity allowed happiness to prosper...ultimately for the entire family. The book reads like a movie and emotions will stay with you for long after the final page is read. So worth the read.
Truly a love story to share!
Enjoyed this book so much that I could not put it down. I read it twice and I never read anything twice. I love that it is a true story, so much more endearing. Vin and Sandy truly followed their hearts!
I just finished "Finding Home". I read this in one sitting and while this story is not long it is truly touching. I had to wipe the tears from my eyes. Vin and Sandy's story is a real love story and one that reminds all of us that we need to live life now and fully, do not settle and hold those we love close. A well done first effort by this new author.
