What a great read! Couldn't put it down. Was so caught up in the story that I didn't even realize I was at the end of the book! Looking forward to the next book!

I read this book straight through in a matter of hours because I was unable (and unwilling) to put it down. I'm eagerly awaiting the next installment. In addition to the story itself, as a native southwest Lousianian, I thoroughly enjoyed the author's "I AM FROM" page.
This book was awesome had all the right amounts of love mystery suspense and humor to keep u turning pages I absolutely fell in love with the characters and lost myself in the story I guess that's how I ended up reading it in like 4 hours lol it is a must read!!
It was a really a good story.
I like the friendship of Claire, Serena and Faith.... I always wanted friends like that and I have a couple just like them. Loved the story....it ended too soon.
I loved this story based in south Louisiana. I think it's a good first novel from author, Lisa Coots, who will clearly only get better as she continues to write. I can't give it a 5 star because of slight distractions with editing, such as point of view shifts and typos, but nothing that kept me from wanting to read more. Claire Hebert is a school teacher, new in town and running from her sordid past. Her trouble-finding Great Dane, Rosie, puts her in contact with hunky Sheriff's Deputy with a soft-spot for dogs, Evan Bertrand. Claire's sidekick, Serena, is a bit of a psychic and lives in a huge house, haunted of course, which adds to the entertainment level.
All in all, a good read. Congratulations on a fine first effort, Ms. Coots. I look forward to the next book in this series.
